Bulb Education

9W Twist (45W equivalent)
13-15W Twist (60W equivalent)
18-20W Twist (75W equivalent)
23-26W Twist (100W equivalent)
Use to replace a 45, 60, 75, and100W incandescent in a fixture that may hide the lamp. For enclosed fixtures, look for CFLs that are rated for "enclosed fixtures."

R30 Reflector
Use to replace a 65-90W R lamp in a recessed can.

R40 Reflector
Use to replace a 65-120W R lamp in a recessed can and in the bathroom.

PAR38 Reflector
Use to replace a 90-120W outdoor floodlight. Be careful not to use in conjunction with a motion sensor or photo cell.

Globes
Use to replace a 40 and 60W globe in areas where lamp is visible. Bath bar or any downward facing socket.

A-Type
Use to replace a 40, 60, 75 and 100W A-lamp in areas where lamp is visible or any downward facing socket. This is the most aesthetically pleasing CFL when compared to an incandescent bulb.

7W Decorative
For use in decorative fixture applications.

15W Dimmable Twist
(60W equivalent)
23W Dimmable Twist
(100W equivalent)
Only use dimmable CFLs in dimming circuits that state they are rated "dimmable."

The APS ENERGY STAR Lighting Program has moved over three million CFLs into the Arizona marketplace over the past three years. As these CFLs begin to reach the end of their lifetime, it’s important to make proper disposal easy and convenient, because they should not be thrown in the trash. Although most Household Hazardous Waste sites take the bulbs, they are not always conveniently located.
